SALT LAKE, Utah. – The Colorado Mesa Mavericks (7-3-2, 5-2-2 RMAC) suffered their second loss of the RMAC season Friday night against the Westminster Griffins (8-3-2, 5-2-2 RMAC) on Dumke Field by a score of 2-0.
Ramses Atahualpa led the team with three shots while Lawan Aabry took a team high two shots on goal. The Griffins and Mavericks were even on shots at ten, but the Mavericks were outkicked 6-4 by the Griffins from the corner.
Westminster recorded four saves to shutout the Mavericks while senior goalkeeper Brendan Brown made one save on the night. Westminster recorded goals in each half to defeat the Mavericks.
