Box Score PUEBLO, Colo. – The Colorado Mesa women's tennis team prevailed 6-3 in their conference matchup with CSU-Pueblo on Saturday at City Park.
The Mavericks won two of the three doubles matches and four of the six singles matches in the win.
Kristen Kirby won both her singles match and doubles matchup, playing No. 1 in both. Kirby paired with
Taylor Hershey at No. 1 doubles and defeated Dettman and Cachutt 8-2.
She defeated Hamilton at No. 1 singles in straight sets 6-3, 6-2.
Nicole Kitsuse picked up wins at both No. 4 singles and No. 3 doubles. Kitsuse paired with
Georgia Hansen at No. 3 doubles and won 8-6 over Megilligan and Jensen.
She then went on to not drop a game in her singles match with Megilligen, winning 6-0, 6-0.
Hansen won both of her matches, earning the win at No. 5 singles in three sets, 6-2, 4-6, 6-2.
Colorado Mesa improved to 10-15 on the season and 2-1 in RMAC matches.
The Mavericks will play at Colorado College and Colorado Christian on April 5-6.
