SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Colorado Mesa women's tennis team continued on their Southern California swing on Thursday (Mar. 15), taking on San Diego Christian College at Lake Murray Tennis Center. The Mavericks fell 6-3 in the match to drop to 8-12 on the season.
Colorado Mesa lost two of the three doubles matches with their lone win coming at No. 3.
Georgia Hansen and
Nicole Kitsuse won their match by default.
Kitsuse had one of the Mavericks singles win at No. 5 as she defeated Boeta in straight sets 6-2, 6-1.
Hansen earned a win at No. 6 singles over Vasquez. The Australian native was leading 3-6, 6-4, 4-2 before Vasquez bowed out with an injury.
The Mavericks will close out their spring break trip on Saturday with a match against Biola in La Mirada, Calif. at the Biola University Tennis Center
