GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The Colorado Mesa women's tennis team closed out the Maverick Duals with a 6-3 win over Colorado College at Elliott Tennis Center.
 
Colorado College earned the win at No. 1 doubles but Colorado Mesa picked up an 8-3 win at No. 2 doubles with and No. 3 doubles to take the 2-1 lead into the singles matches.
 
Kristen Kirby picked up the three-set win at No. 1 singles over Allie Burak of Colorado College. Kirby won the first set 6-2 but dropped set two 6-4 before rebounding for the decisive 10-4 tiebreak win in the third.
 
At No. 2 singles, Emily Beckley sealed the match victory with a 6-3, 7-5 straight set win over Jenna McDonald.
 
Rebecca Osterberg earned a straight set win and didn't surrender a game at No. 3 singles, winning 6-0, 6-0.
 
Georgia Hansen picked up a solid win at No. 6 singles with a 7-5, 6-2 win over Morgan Smith.
 
Colorado Mesa will be off until after the winter break when the spring season begins.
