GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The Colorado Mesa volleyball team pushed their win streak to eight after sweeping Westminster 3-0 (25-11, 25-16, 25-23) on Saturday night in Brownson Arena in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference opening weekend.

The Mavericks won the first set 25-11 after hitting .500, thanks in large part to the seven kills by Gabriela Dias. Dias had 10 attacks in the set and hit .700 and added two digs and assisted on a block.

In the second set, CMU hit just .167 but benefitted from nine Griffin attack errors in a 25-16 win.
