Mesa will face off against Cal State-East Bay for their first game of the season. East Bay finished their 2015 with a loosing record of 5-12-1.

Cal State-Stanislaus will be Mesa's second game of the season played in Hayward, CA and they finished their season with a winning record of 12-6-3.
Richmond-Buccola Earns Preseason Honor
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Mesa's
Janelle Richmond-Buccola was the Preseason Goalkeeper of the Year.

The women's soccer preseason awards were voted on by the 13 conference head coaches.

Richmond-Buccola started every game in goal as a freshman. She had three shutouts and 1.31 goals against average. The Mavericks' goalkeeper totaled 80 saves in 18 games, giving her an average of 4.44 saves per game. Richmond-Buccola earned All-RMAC Honorable Mention at the end of the season.

The women's soccer preseason all-conference team and coaches' poll will be released on Tuesday, August 16.
Thurman Joins Women's Soccer Staff
GRAND JUNCTION, COLO. – Colorado Mesa University women's soccer head coach
Jason Clare announced Tuesday (Aug. 9) that
Danielle Thurman has been hired as the programs assistant coach.
Thurman replaces Kourtney Rhodes who accepted the head coaching position at NCAA Div. I Delaware State.
Thurman joins the Colorado Mesa program after spending the previous year as an assistant coach at Otero Junior College. She was also an assistant coach with the Central Otago Player Development School.
