Jason Clare

Jason Clare enters his fifth season as the head women’s soccer coach at Colorado Mesa University. Clare previously assisted at Dodge City Community College in Kansas.

Clare had his best season as the leader of the Mavericks in 2016. The team went 9-7-2 on the year and claimed fourth place in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, giving them a home RMAC Tournament matchup.
 
Prior to his time in the United States, Jason coached several different youth programs and clubs. He coached the Yeovil Town Football Club, a professional club in England and worked at the Center of Excellence which helped develop players for the professional game. He also worked for the Somerset Football Association Girls Center working with elite players in the country.

Jason earned a UEFA 'B' Coaching License, Football Association Level 3 certificate, and a Football Association Level 2 Goalkeeper coaching certificate in England. He has also earned an NSCAA Advanced National and Premier Diploma since coaching in the United States.

He earned a Bachelor of Science Honors Degree in Sport and Exercise Science and will be going back to school to earn a Masters Degree in Human Movement in the spring of 2014.

Jason grew up in Southwest England and was married to Amanda Clare in 2010.
