Mavs Headed to South Dakota

Colorado Mesa will look to bounce back when they travel to Black Hills State Friday (Feb. 12). Mesa will travel to South Dakota School of Mines Saturday (Feb. 13). 

A Countdown to 2,000
Ryan Stephan needs to score 91 points to reach 2,000 points in his career. He currently has 1,909 points and sits third on CMU's career scoring list. He ranks second nationally in total points and points per game. Stephan leads the nation with 17 double-doubles this season. He has recorded a double-double in his last seven games. Stephan has scored 30 or more points six times this season, including 36 in the loss at New Mexico Highlands. 

RMAC Title Race
Colorado Mesa is currently tied for second place in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and is two games behind first place.
They have five games left in the regular season to make a run. All five opponents have a combined overall record of 43-64. Only one of the five opponents has a winning record and CMU is 4-1 against the final five opponents this season.
 
Halftime score
Colorado Mesa improved to 10-1 on the season when leading at the half. Their only loss was back on Nov. 21 against Eastern New Mexico. They led 47-40 at half but lost 82-86.

Streak Ends
CMU's six-game winning streak ended last week with a 99-95 loss at New Mexico Highlands. The six-game winning streak was the longest of the season for the Mavs. 

Score 71 Points
Colorado Mesa is 14-4 this season when it scores 71 or more points and 0-3 when it scores 70 or less. The Mavericks are 6-1 when it holds their opponent to 70 points or less. 

95 Points
Colorado Mesa scored 95 points in a loss at New Mexico Highlands last week. The 95 points was the third most the team' has scored in a game this season and the most in a loss in the last 14 years.
