RMAC PLAYER OF THE WEEKColorado Mesa had their fifth consecutive week with one of their athletes named either the player or pitcher of the week by the RMAC.
Austin Wallingford was named the player of the week after hitting over .700 in the series with Adams State. He finished the weekend with five home runs, 10 runs scored and 10 RBIs. Wallingford follows

SCORING FIRSTThe Mavericks are 14-0 on the season when they score a run in the first inning. They are also 21-1 when they are the first team to score in the game.
HOLDING THE LEADColorado Mesa is 23-0 on the season when they lead after six innings of play.
Joey Capistran and
Tyler Ehlers lead the team in appearances and the duo has combined for 31.1 innings pitched and have allowed just seven earned runs and 38 hits.
POLLSFor the third straight week, Colorado Mesa is ranked No. 1 in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Coaches Poll. They are also in the top spot in the D2BaseballNews.com poll and teh National Collegiate Baseball Writers poll.
BIGGEST LITTLE CITYIn our weekly note about senior lefty
Ryan Reno, this week he is ranked No. 1 in NCAA Div. II in wins...by himself. He is now 8-0 on the season with 2.72 ERA and four complete games which ranks sixth in the country.
STATEMENT SERIESThis weekend's series with CSU-Pueblo pits the No. 1 team in the country vs. the No. 8 team, the top two teams in the RMAC and in the region, and two bitter rivals. Since 2012, Colorado Mesa is 16-6 against the Pack but this is the first time since 2004 that both teams will enter the series in the top ten in the National Rankings.
PROTECTING THE HOUSESuplizio Field has been very kind to the Mavericks for several seasons now. The Mavericks are 89-7 the past three seasons including the 15-1 start this season. They have not been shutout at home in 332 games dating back to the 2004 season (L 0-3 Western Oregon, Feb. 14).
NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPColorado Mesa played for the NCAA National Championship last year coming up just short to Southern Indiana 3-2 in 12 innings. It was the first time in program history the Mavericks have reached the National Championship game.
ON DECKThe Mavericks will head out on their longest road trip, possibly in program history, next week. They will travel to Denver the next three weekends to do battle with Regis, Colorado Christian and MSU Denver. Their next home game will be May 1 when they play Colorado Mines.
