Junior rightfielder
Alex Fife hit for the cycle in Friday's series opener. Fife led the game off with a single, homered in the second, tripled in the fourth, and doubled in the eighth. Fife is the first Maverick to hit for the cycle since Matt Bodenchuk did it in 2009 against the same Regis Rangers. Bodenchuk's cycle happened in order during the RMAC opening series of the season.
BASES JUICED
Colorado Mesa is hitting .333 (16-for-48) with the bases loaded this season. Cleanup hitter
Bligh Madris leads the team with 10 at-bats with the bases loaded and has two hits in those at-bats.
WITH RUNNERS ON
Closer
Joey Capistran has been tough when he enters the game with runners on base. Capistran is limiting hitters to a .146 batting average and has only allowed six hits with runners on base.
POLLS
The Mavericks fell out of the top spot in the Collegiate Baseball poll checking in at No. 2 this week. Colorado Mesa gave way to Franklin Pierce who is 30-2 on the season. CMU is No. 2 in the Perfect Game poll while remaining No. 1 in the NCBWA and D2Baseball.com polls.
THE LEFTIES

Tyler Ehlers and senior
Ryan Reno have anchored the top two slots in the rotation the past two weeks. Ehlers leads the team in appearances after spending the first eight weeks of the season in the bullpen while Reno moved back atop the NCAA rankings in wins with nine.
PROVIDING THE POP
Senior
Austin Wallingford has really came on strong the last three weeks. The Pueblo native has 10 homeruns on the season and has a .708 slugging percentage. In the last three weeks, he is hitting .525 with eight homeruns and 20 runs driven in.
PROTECTING THE HOUSE
Suplizio Field has been very kind to the Mavericks for several seasons now. The Mavericks are 92-8 the past three seasons including the 18-2 record this season. They have not been shutout at home in 332 games dating back to the 2004 season (L 0-3 Western Oregon, Feb. 14).
NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
Colorado Mesa played for the NCAA National Championship last year coming up just short to Southern Indiana 3-2 in 12 innings. It was the first time in program history the Mavericks have reached the National Championship game.
ON DECK
The Mavericks will conclude their three week, Front Range road swing with a four-game series with the MSU Denver Roadrunners. It will be the first time the Mavericks play at the new Regency Athletic Complex.
