PUEBLO, Colo. – Colorado Mesa got hat tricks from
Michael Beimford and
Daniel Caddoo in a 16-5 win over CSU-Pueblo in a Western Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association match. The game was CSU-Pueblo first-ever home match, for the first-year program, at the Gonzalez Lacrosse Complex.
Beimford and Caddoo each scored on goal in the first half and two in the second half of the match.
The Mavericks took a 7-3 lead into the half. They outshot the ThunderWolves 23-4 in the first quarter and 63-25 in the match.
David Solomon tallied six points in the match with two goals and four assists.
Zach Weaver earned his second win in as many games making eight saves in the effort.
The Mavericks will face Rockhurst at Walker Field on March 17 in their next match. The match will be their third straight against a WILA opponent.
