GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The Colorado Mesa University women's tennis team opened RMAC play with a 7-2 win over MSU Denver Friday (March 6).
The Mavericks opened the match by sweeping the doubles matches.
Rachel McLaughlin and
Kristyn Wykert defeated Haleigh Chobanian and Kasey Love 8-1 at No. 1 singles.
Amy Beeston and
Emily Dodson collected their seventh win of the season at No. 2 doubles defeating Ana-Jelena Vujosevic and Courtney Wright 8-4.
Natalie Martin and
Katie Kirby posted an 8-1 win over Kaitlyn Miller and Megan Bell 8-1.
Kristyn Wykert won at No. 2 singles, and
Rachel McLaughlin won at No. 3 singles.
Emily Dodson won 6-0, 6-0 over Megan Bell at No. 5 singles.
Amy Beeston won at No. 6 singles.
The Mavericks two losses in singles came in three set matches.
CMU (6-3) will face St. Mary's March 21.Â
