ALAMOSA, Colo. – Austin Pridham scored six goals and two others recorded hat tricks in Colorado Mesa's 20-13 victory over the Adams State Grizzlies on Friday afternoon in a Western Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association showdown at ASU Lacrosse Field.
 
Pridham got the Mavericks on the board with his first goal with 13:17 left in the first quarter and finished the game with three goals in each half on a total of 10 shots. He also added a groundball.
 
Colorado Mesa led 9-5 at halftime but outshot the Grizzlies 26-13 at the break.
 
Griffin Perkiel and Stephen Dunn each finished the game with a hat trick.
 
David Solomon finished the game with four points as he had a pair of goals and assists.
 
Zach Weaver earned the win in net for Colorado Mesa. Weaver made 13 saves on the afternoon with four coming in the third period.

The win was the first under first-year head coach Vince Smith.

Colorado Mesa will close out their short road trip tomorrow with a match against first-year program CSU-Pueblo at Rawlings Field.
