GAFFNEY, S.C. – Colorado Mesa took on the defending NCAA National Champions and No. 2 ranked Limestone on Friday evening at Saints Field. The Mavericks fell to the Saints 24-10 and dropped their record to 4-2 on the season.
The Mavericks trailed 14-4 at the half after allowing eight second quarter goals.
They were outshot 48-30 in the game and committed 22 turnovers. Colorado Mesa did force Limestone into 20 turnovers.
Steve Brandenburg and
Daniel Caddoo each scored two goals in the match while
David Solomon,
Michael Beimford and
Shane O'Neill each had a goal and an assist.
Zach Weaver had the tough task in goal but made 10 saves while facing 48 shots.
The Mavericks will return home to take on CSU-Pueblo at Walker Field on April 3.
