RMAC PLAYER OF THE WEEKColorado Mesa kept another streak alive as they had their fourth consecutive player named RMAC Player or Pitcher of the Week. This week
Ryan Reno was named the Pitcher of the week following his complete game shutout of New Mexico Highlands. He allowed just three hits, walked none and struck out eight in the win. Reno follows

WINNINGThe Mavericks are currently riding a 19-game winning streak that dates back to Feb. 20 when the Mavericks suffered one of their worst home losses in history to Cal Baptist. The streak is the longest in program history, topping the 18-game mark set in 2007. Three of those wins have come in the final at-bat of the game.
POLLSFor the second straight week, Colorado Mesa is ranked No. 1 in three out of the four National Polls this week. It is the first time in program history they have been ranked No. 1 in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Coaches Poll. They are ranked third in the Perfect Game poll this week behind Seton Hill and Tampa.
BIGGEST LITTLE CITYSenior lefty
Ryan Reno is currently tied for first (with nine others) in Div. II with seven wins this season. Reno pitches in the Mavericks No. 2 slot and is 7-0 with a 2.15 ERA. He has a 17.5 to one strikeout to walk ratio and opposing hitters are batting just .242 against him.
LAYIN EM DOWNColorado Mesa has been an excellent bunting team the past few years. This season they currently rank No. 6 in Div. II in sacrifice bunts with 23.
Zach McLeod, even though he has been sidelined with an injury, leads the team with five sac bunts.
PROTECTING THE HOUSESuplizio Field has been very kind to the Mavericks for several seasons now. The Mavericks are 89-7 the past three seasons including the 15-1 start this season. They have not been shutout at home in 332 games dating back to the 2004 season (L 0-3 Western Oregon, Feb. 14).
NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPColorado Mesa played for the NCAA National Championship last year coming up just short to Southern Indiana 3-2 in 12 innings. It was the first time in program history the Mavericks have reached the National Championship game.
ON DECKThe Mavericks will return home for a showdown with RMAC rival and nationally ranked CSU-Pueblo. The series could have major implications regarding the RMAC Championship and the NCAA SOuth Central Region. Because of the Easter weekend, the series will start on Thursday at 6pm.Â
