LAST WEEKENDThe Mavericks swept a four-game series with the Colorado Mines Orediggers at Darden Field in Golden. They had their biggest offensive outpouring in game two of the series when they scored 20 runs in a 20-7 win.

RMAC PLAYER OF THE WEEKFor the third straight week, Colorado Mesa has earned one of the RMAC's player of the week awards. This week sophomore
Kyle Serrano was named the player of the week following his performance against Colorado Mines. Serrano batted .588 with 10 hits, two doubles, a home run and six runs driven in. Serrano follows

WINNINGThe Mavericks are currently riding a 15-game winning streak that dates back to Feb. 20 when the Mavericks suffered one of their worst home losses in history to Cal Baptist. The streak is the longest since 2009 when the Mavs won 16 straight and is three short of the longest in program history set at 18 in 2007.
POLLSColorado Mesa is ranked No. 1 in three out of the four National Polls this week. It is the first time in program history they have been ranked No. 1 in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Coaches Poll. The Mavericks jumped to No. 1 after Tampa dropped a pair of games and Mount Olive lost three to unranked Barton. They are ranked third in the Perfect Game poll this week behind Tampa and Seton Hill.
BIGGEST LITTLE CITYSenior lefty
Ryan Reno is currently tied for first (with nine others) in Div. II with six wins this season. Reno pitches in the Mavericks No. 2 slot and is 6-0 with a 2.54 ERA. He has a 13.5 to one strikeout to walk ratio and opposing hitters are batting just 2.59 against him.
LAYIN EM DOWNColorado Mesa has been an excellent bunting team the past few years. This season they currently rank No. 11 in Div. II in sacrifice bunts with 23.Â
PROTECTING THE HOUSESuplizio Field has been very kind to the Mavericks for several seasons now. The Mavericks are 85-7 the past three seasons including the 11-1 start this season. They have not been shutout at home in 328 games dating back to the 2004 season (L 0-3 Western Oregon, Feb. 14).
NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPColorado Mesa played for the NCAA National Championship last year coming up just short to Southern Indiana 3-2 in 12 innings. It was the first time in program history the Mavericks have reached the National Championship game.
ON DECKThe Mavericks will head out on the road to Alamosa for a four game series with Adams State before returning home for an Easter weekend showdown with RMAC rival CSU-Pueblo.
