Colorado Mesa will host Black Hills State Friday (Feb. 6) and Chadron State Saturday (Feb. 7). Saturday's game will also feature a breast cancer awareness event. Mesa will look to avenge a 64-58 loss to Chadron in the conference opener.

Top-10
Junior Ryan Stephan moved into the top-10 in career scoring at Colorado Mesa after scoring 57 points last weekend. The Lakewood, Colo., native currently has 1,110 points. He ranks third in the nation in total points with 487. Stephan ranks second in the league and fourth nationally in both points per game (25.6) and total field goals made (172). 

Conference Hunt
After suffering a pair of losses last week, CMU fell to sixth in the RMAC standings. The Mavericks are one game out of fourth. The top eight teams will make the conference tournament. CMU currently has a four game lead over ninth place Black Hills State. 

Assist Machine
Freshman Derek Biale leads the RMAC and ranks 18th nationally in assist-to-turnover ratio at 2.91. The Redondo Beach, Calif., native is averaging 4.4 assists and 4.2 points per game. 

Scoring 71 Points
Colorado Mesa scored 77 points in the loss at Colorado Christian last week. The loss was the first for the Mavericks when it scored more than 71 points. 

Career-Highs
Senior Jerry Duckworth recorded a career-high three steals at Colorado Mines. Landon Vermeer tied his career-high with four assists at Colorado Christian. 

Ranked Teams
Colorado Mesa faced a top-25 team four of the last weeks. CMU is 2-3 this season against ranked opponents.
