RMAC PITCHER OF THE WEEKSenior righthander
Matt Delay earned RMAC Pitcher of the Week honors after his performance against UC-San Diego. Delay pitched five shout out innings, allowing just three hits while striking out nine to pick up his first win of the season. He was honored earlier this year by being named the preseason RMAC Pitcher of the Year.
BIG BATThe Mavericks were able to scratch out just enough in both games to earn the pair of wins.
James Young III provided all the pop the Mavs needed in game two of the series, driving a two-run homer just to the left of the scoreboard in right center field to give the Mavericks their two runs.
Trevor Elcock also finished the series with three hits.
YOUTHFUL TALENTA trio of freshman figure to factor into the Mavericks success this season. Shortstop
Zach McLeod started both games and hit in the two-hole. He finished the weekend with two hits including a RBI double. Rightfielder

Nick Cardinale will more than likely start one of the games on Saturday after pitching in relief in the opening series.
