CC Box ScoreGRAND JUNCTION, COLO. – The Colorado Mesa University women's tennis team finished the fall season a perfect 4-0 at home after collecting two more wins Saturday (Oct. 3). CMU defeated CSU-Pueblo 8-1 and Colorado College 7-2.
The Mavs swept all five singles matches against the Thunderwolves.
Frederikke Karst won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, and
Katie Kirby won 6-2, 6-4 at No. 2.
Emily Beckley,
Michelle Phillips,
Taylor Hershey and
Amy Beeston each won at No. 3-6.
Frederikke Karst and Emiy Dodson won at No. 1 doubles 8-0, and CMU won by default at No. 3 doubles.
Frederikke Karst and
Emily Dodson won their second match at No. 1 doubles defeating Madison Doerre and Annie Zlevor 8-1. Michlle Phillips and
Katie Kirby won 8-2 at No. 2, and
Emily Beckley and
Taylor Hershey won 8-6 at No. 3.
Katie Kirby and
Emily Dodson followed up with wins at No. 2 and 3 singles.
Amy Beeston won 6-3, 6-2 at No. 5, and
Katie Metz won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 6.
CMU (6-2) will play at Southern Utah Feb. 19
th.
