MAVERICKS VS. THE FIELDThe Mavericks are 12-5 against the RMAC Tournament Field this year. They own the season series against Colorado Mines 7-1 and CSU-Pueblo 3-2 while spliting with New Mexico Highlands down in Las Vegas.
STILL #1Colorado Mesa is ranked #1 in the NCAA South Central Region poll for the third consecutive week. West Texas A&M is #2 followed by Texas A&M Kingsville, New Mexico Highlands, St. Edward's and St. Mary's to round out the top six. Tarleton State and CSU-Pueblo are seventh and eighth. The top six teams in the poll advance to the NCAA Tournament after the final poll is released on May 11th.
40Colorado Mesa has 37 wins this season and will be going for its seventh 40-win season in the last 11 seasons. The school records for wins is 49 which was set in the 2007 season.
PLAY EM ALLNow that the post season has begun, all games are now nine innings in length. The Mavericks were 19-8 in nine-inning games during the regular season and averaged 8.4 runs a game and had a batting average of .341.
LEADING THE WAYColorado Mesa led the way with 10 All-RMAC selections including five first team selections.

PLAYER OF THE YEARSenior outfielder
Austin Kaiser was named the RMAC's Player of the Year and was a unanimous pick for All-RMAC First Team. The Colorado Springs native leads NCAA Division II nationally in batting average, hits, and total bases. Kaiser also had a 20-game hit streak this season and has had multiple hits in 32 of 46 games played this season
COACH OF THE YEARThis is the seventh time in his 16 seasons at Colorado Mesa Head Coach
Chris Hanks has been named RMAC Coach of the Year. The Mavs won the RMAC regular season championship for the tenth time under Hanks and are poised to make the NCAA Division II tournament for the twelfth time under his leadership. During the regular season, he moved up one spot to ninth in NCAA Division II for career winning percentage with a .686 mark, tops in the RMAC.
DRIVE EM INThe Mavericks are 28-4 this season when they score six runs or more in a game and are just 9-6 when they dont reach the six run mark.
ON DECKThe Mavericks will likely receive an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament should they not win the RMAC Tournament this weekend. Colorado Mesa is also in line to host the tournament at Suplizio Field.
