AUSTIN, Texas – Ryan Stephen scored 24 points for Colorado Mesa in a 74-61 loss at St. Edward's Saturday (Nov. 15). Stephan was named to the RMAC vs. Lonestar All-Tournament team.

The Mavericks jumped out to an early 11-2 lead but the Hilltoppers answered with a 12-3 run to tie the game at 14.

Neither team would lead by more than three points the remainder of the half with St. Edwards holding a 27-26 lead at the break.

The Hilltoppers used a 13-0 run to create their largest lead of the night, 57-38, with eight minutes remaining.

St. Edward's would enjoy a double digit lead for the majority of the second half for the 74-61 win.

The Hilltoppers shot 56-percent (14-25) during the second half, while the Mavericks shot 46-percent (14-30). CMU also outscored SEU 20-8 in the paint during the second half.

Frankie Mgbolu led St. Edwards with 24 points. Ramir Burton and Trey Lindsey combined for 25.

CMU (1-1) will play Colorado College Nov. 21 at UCCS.
