GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The Colorado Mesa University women's tennis team closed the fall season with a 6-3 win over CSU-Pueblo Saturday (Oct. 4).
The Mavericks won two of three doubles matches.
Natalie Martin and
Katie Kirby defeated Toni Alvarez and Sarah Coy 8-2 at No. 2 doubles.
Emily Dodson and
Amy Beeston downed Teresa Haro and Mariana Hosami 8-4 at No. 3 doubles.
Kristyn Wykert won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2 singles, and
Rachel McLaughlin won 6-2, 6-4 at No. 3.
CMU's final two wins came at No. 4 and No. 5 singles.
Katie Kirby posted a 6-1, 6-4 win over Sarah Coy.
Emily Dodson defeated Brooke Trevithick 6-1, 6-1.
CMU will start the spring season at Utah State Jan. 23.
