CMU Continues Their Winning Ways
The Mavericks did not lose a single set this past week when they took down Fort Lewis College 3-0 on Tuesday (Oct. 14) and Adams State Saturday (Oct. 18) in straight sets. Colorado Mesa has a season-high eight game winning streak

Still Leading RMAC
The Mavs continue to keep pace atop of the RMAC standings. Sitting at an 11-1 conference record,  CMU finds themselves in a three-way tie with Colorado School of Mines and MSU Denver. Colorado Mesa gave Mines their only RMAC loss, while MSU Denver did the same to the Mavericks. MSU Denver and Mines still have another match-up this season.

Double-Double Machine
The Colorado Mesa volleyball team has a combined 13 double-double's on the season.  Christian Ozten had the first one this season when she had 12 kills with the 23 digs the first time the Mavs played Regis University. Casey Ball leads the way with six of her own. Erin Perez has recorded double digits in kills and digs in four matches with three coming within the last four games. Jordyn Moody had more then 10 assists and digs in two matches.

Home Winning Streak
With their two wins last week, CMU has increased their regular season home winning streak to nine games. Their last home loss came on Nov. 19, 2013  when they fell to Colorado Christian in the opening round of the RMAC Tournament. This season, the Mavericks have won all seven home games. They have only lost two sets at home, which came in a 3-2 victory over Western New Mexico.

Dave Fleming Reign
With a 17-3 record and seven regular season matches to play, Colorado Mesa volleyball is still on pace to have their best season with head coach Dave Fleming at the helm. Up until this year, his best statistical was the first year he took over the program in 2005, when his Mavericks finished 23-7 and had an NCAA Tournament appearance. Their current .850 win-loss percentage is also the highest under coach Fleming with their best prior being the same 2005 season in which they finished with a .766 win-loss percentage. If the Mavericks stay atop the conference standings, it will be the first RMAC Championship and second West Division Championship for Coach Fleming.

Mavs Move Up in Polls
For the third straight week the Colorado Mesa volleyball team has moved up in the AVCA Top-25 poll. The Mavericks went from 16 to 14. Colorado School of Mines moved up to nine, while MSU Denver rose to 21.

A Look at the Hardrockers
CMU will play South Dakota School of Mines in a midweek non-conference match up on Wednesday (Oct. 22).  This is the Hardrockers third year at the Div. II level. They are not eligible for postseason or conference awards until next year when they join the RMAC. Mines is 9-7 on the year with two wins over Dickenson state and Black Hills State. Colorado Mesa traveled to Rapid City, S.D. to play the Hardrockers for the first time last year and defeated them 3-1.

Scouting Report on CSU-Pueblo
With one of the few sets CMU has dropped in a victory coming against the Thunderwolves earlier this season, the Mavericks will look to take them down in three this time. The Mavericks traveled to CSU-Pueblo Oct. 3rd where they rallied to beat the Thunderwolves 3-1 after dropping the first set. CSU-Pueblo's 6-6 RMAC record puts them in a four way tie for fifth in the conference. Colorado Mesa's win at the beginning of the month gave them the 54-19 advantage when the two teams match-up.

Western State Mountaineers
The Mountaineers have really struggled this year having not won a single match yet. Colorado Mesa beat Western State in a three set sweep in Gunnison,Colo. Oct. 4th. Of the 60 sets the Mountaineers have played in their 0-16 season, they have only won 12 of them. CMU is 57-15 when playing against the Mountaineers. The last time the Mavericks lost to Western State was a 3-2 decision on Oct. 26, 2012.

Up Next
Next week, Colorado Mesa hits the road to New Mexico for match-ups against New Mexico Highlands (Oct. 31) and Western New Mexico (Nov.1).
