WEEKEND RECAP
Colorado Mesa swept a pair of matches last weekend with a 1-0 win over the CSU-Pueblo ThunderWolves and a 2-1 come from behind win over Adams State.

Against CSU-Pueblo, Stevie Palma's goal in the 55th minute proved to be the game-winner. The Pack outshot CMU 20-8 in the match.

After falling behind 1-0 to Adams State, Roy Abergil scored his fourth goal of the season and Stevie Palma had the game-winner in the 75th minute.

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS
The Mavericks are undefeated this season when playing night matches. They defeated St. Edward's in the season opener (2-0) then beat Colorado Mines at home (1-0) in the RMAC opener. Last week, CMU took down CSU-Pueblo on the road in a night match (1-0). This week, they will take on nationally ranked MSU Denver at 7:00pm at Walker Field.

BUMP
Sophomore goalkeeper Brandyn Bumpas has provided a spark to the team having started the last two matches in goal. Bumpas leads the RMAC in Save percentage and his two shutouts this year have moved him into a third place tie all-time.

DEFENSE
The Mavericks are one of the top teams in all of Division II when it comes to the defense. They rank 27th in the country in team goals against average (0.82) while the goalkeepers rank 25th in save percentage (.825) and shutout percentage (.500).

NSCAA REGIONAL POLL
Colorado Mesa moved up to fifth in this week's NSCAA South Central Region poll. The Mavericks will take on this week's second ranked team, No. 12 nationally, MSU Denver on Friday.

LOCAL LOVE
Grand Junction native Stevie Palma tallied both game-winning goals last weekend in the sweep of CSU-Pueblo and Adams State. Palma moved up to seventh in career points and sixth in all-time goals.

INTERNATIONAL PLAY
This year's roster features three international players. Defender Stan Schrock is from Okinawa, Japan and junior Luis Schraidt is from Obregon, Mexico.
Redshirt sophomore Roy Abergil is from Beercheeva, Israel.

COACHING
First year coach Todd Padgett is in his first collegiate season on the men's side. Padgett spent the last two seasons as the head coach at Eastern New Mexico for the women's program. 

Assistant coach Cole Sweetser is in his first season as a collegiate coach. Sweetser was one of the best players in RMAC history and was named to the RMAC's all-century team.

2013 RMAC TOURNAMENT CHAMPS
The Mavericks won their first-ever RMAC Tournament last season, defeating the Regis Rangers 2-1 in double overtime. Oliver Querin booted in the game-winning goal in the second overtime period and was named to the all-tournament team.

RMAC PRESEASON POLL
Colorado Mesa was picked to finish second in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, and received three first place votes, in the preseason coaches poll. Regis was picked to win the RMAC.

NEXT UP
The Mavericks will close out their four match homestand with a pair of matches next weekend. On Friday they will play host to RMAC preseason favorite Regis at 4:30pm then they will take on the UCCS Mountain Lions on Sunday at 12:00pm.
