Roy Abergil scored his fifth game-winner of the season in a 1-0 win over UCCS on Sunday. Abergil ranks No. 2 in Division II in game-winning goals.
RMAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK, AGAINSenior defender
Oliver Querin was named the RMAC Defensive Player of the Week after scoring the game-winning goal against #8 Regis and helping the defense to a pair of shutouts on the weekend. Querin joins fellow defenders
Stan Schrock and
Blake Carlson as recipients of the award.Â
NIGHT TIMEColorado Mesa is now 4-0 in night matches this season. They will play Colorado Mines on Wednesday this week in what will be their fifth night match this season. Back on September 19, the Mavericks defeated Mines 1-0 in overtime in a night match.Â
MESA VS. MINESColorado Mesa and Colorado Mines have battled it out over the past couple years. Mines hadn't lost to CMU until last season and now the Mavericks are on a three match win streak against the Orediggers including a win in the semifinals of the RMAC Tournament.
NSCAA POLLColorado Mesa jumped into the national poll at #14 this week. It is only the second time in the program's history. They also jumped from #5 to #1 in the South Central region poll.
1-0 WINSThe Mavericks have won their past three matches by a score of 1-0. They beat Colorado Christian, Regis and UCCS all by that score and have won four of their past six matches by shutout.
MICAH AND BUMPThe goalkeeping duo of
Micah Conrads and
Brandyn Bumpas has been stellar all season. Both goalies have matching .846 save percentages this season and have combined for seven shutouts. Their save percentage as a team ranks 10th best in NCAA Division II.

COACHINGFirst year coach
Todd Padgett is in his first collegiate season on the men's side. Padgett spent the last two seasons as the head coach at Eastern New Mexico for the women's program.Â
Assistant coach
Cole Sweetser is in his first season as a collegiate coach. Sweetser was one of the best players in RMAC history and was named to the RMAC's all-century team.
2013 RMAC TOURNAMENT CHAMPSThe Mavericks won their first-ever RMAC Tournament last season, defeating the Regis Rangers 2-1 in double overtime.
Oliver Querin booted in the game-winning goal in the second overtime period and was named to the all-tournament team.
RMAC PRESEASON POLLColorado Mesa was picked to finish second in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, and received three first place votes, in the preseason coaches poll. Regis was picked to win the RMAC.
NEXT UPThe Mavericks will host their final regular season home games next weekend. On Friday, they will take on RMAC rival Fort Lewis at 7:00pm before taking on Adams State at 1:00pm on Sunday for Senior Day.
