COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Kent Olsen-Stavrakas finished second in the 100 free (47.32) to lead the Colorado Mesa swimming and diving teams at the Air Force Dual Meet Invitational Friday (Oct. 18).

He teamed up with Justin Hastings, Brett Lowe and Zach Andregg to finish third in the 200 medley relay (1:34.38).

The women's team was led by a pair of fourth place finishes from Maddy Wigg in the 1,000 free (11:35.42) and Miranda Reetz in the 400 IM (4:49.05). Reetz also finished sixth in the 100 breaststroke in a time of 1:09.37.

CMU had three men finish in the top-seven of the 50 free. Justin Hastings was fifth (21.92), followed by Peter Szekely in sixth (21.93) and Jason Dahlen in seventh (22.15).

Hastings finished third in the 100 fly (51.82), and Zach Andregg was sixth (53.87). Andregg finished sixth in the 200 free (1:47.30).
Jarren Brinton turned in a strong night in the distance freestyle events finishing fourth in the 1,000 (10:16.77) and fifth in the 500 (5:03.11). Ryan Gifford finished sixth in both the 500 (5:06.50) and 1,000 (10:35.54).

Brett Lowe finished fourth in the 100 breast (1:00.59), and Peter Szekely was fourth in the 100 free (48.44).

Eryne Leonard finished eighth in the 100 fly (1:01.59) and the 50 free (25.63). Abi Young was seventh in the 100 free (58.12) and ninth in the 200 free (2:07.74). Brianna Bearden was sixth in the 100 back (1:02.64).

The Mavericks ended the day on a high note in the 400 free relays. The women's team of Marissa Bradley, Abi Young, Robyn Meeks and Annie Jones finished third in 3:48.87. The men's team of Kirk O'Connell, Jarren Brinton, Kyle Johnston and Shaun Seuschek was fourth in 3:24.89.

The team will conclude competition Saturday (Oct. 19).
