The Colorado Mesa University broke the NCAA Division II single-game attendance record and then defeated RMAC rival CSU-Pueblo 8-5. The win pushed the Mavericks to 33-10 and 27-6 in the RMAC. The loss put the ThunderWolves at 25-18 and 22-11 in RMAC games, putting them 5 games back of the Mavericks in the RMAC Standings.
The Mavericks had 4,122 fans in the stands breaking the old mark set by CSU-Pueblo in 2005. The ThunderWolves set the previous record in a game against the Mavericks in 2005 and had 3,683 fans at that game. Colorado Mesa now owns 8 of the top 10 single-game attendance marks in the NCAA Division II record.

Nolan Snell tied a school record for strkeouts in a game by fanning 15 ThunderWolves. Snell joins Bryan King (2002) and Chris Carma (2008) in the record book with his 15 strikeouts. Also, the strikeouts puts Snell over the 100 strikeout mark for the season. He didn't figure into the decision.

Derek Benham pitched a scoreless ninth inning to pick up his 9th save of the season.
Colton Little paced the Mavericks offensively, going 4-for-4 with 3 RBIs and a run scored. Little also hit his 10th double of the season.
