CMU wraps up December at UNLV Winter Invite

 Final Results
 
CMU women's swimming & diving team finished 9th in a field of nine teams at the UNLV Winter Invitational in Las Vegas, December 15-17 at the Buchanan Natatorium on the campus of Nevada, Las Vegas. CMU scored 59 points in the three-day meet.
 
Day one included Briana Purkapile's 32nd place finish in the 200 IM in a time of 2:16.00. In the 400 medley relay the team of Robyn Meeks, Ashley Ochsner, Purkapile and Kelly Hogan placed 21st in a time of 4:11.05. Karli Wagner, Katie Thompson, Katie Olson and Annie Jones finished 22nd,  in the race posting a time of 4:18.94.
 
On Sunday Briana Purkapile finished 12th in the 400 IM (4:43.04) and 11th in the 800 free relay (8:16.39) with teammates Annie Jones, Stefanie Mraule and Kelly Hogan.
 
Purkapile wrapped up the final day with a 12th place finish in the 200 fly (2:12.63). Purkapile, Kelly Hogan, Annie Jones and Samantha Parker placed 14th in the 400 free relay in a time of 3:44.56.
 
Savannah Craft placed fifth in the 3-meter with 216.25 total points and Amanda Jennings finished 6th with 213.00 points. In the 1-meter competition Craft finished eighth overall with 179.50 points.
 
CMU will break for Christmas and return for a dual meet on Jan. 13 in San Diego vs. Manhattan College (NY).
