Mesa State women's tennis team improved to 18-9 overall with conference wins over visiting Colorado Christian 7-2 and Montana State Billings 8-1.
The Mavericks' 7-2 win over CCU Thursday afternoon started with a clean sweep in the doubles action for a 3-0 lead heading in to singles.
MSC won four of the six singles matches sweeping number 3 through 6 singles in straight sets. Kaitlan Sera (#3 singles) extended her win streak to six in a 6-2, 6-1 win over Elizabeth Vertin.
Friday afternoon MSC dominated Montana State Billings 8-1 sweeping the three doubles matches and winning five of six singles matches. Kaitlan Sera kept her streak alive with her seventh consecutive singles match victory. Kelleen Sera and Victoria Sargent each won in straight sets at number 1 and 2 singles respectively.
Cyndle Curfman and Skyler Nelson defeated their opponents at number 5 and 6 singles, helping the Mavs to its second victory in as many days.
Saturday afternoon at 2:30 MSC will host CSU-Pueblo in a regional match-up.
