2018 (Redshirt Sophomore): Had arguably the most impressive single-seasons in CMU history while becoming the program’s first AVCA First Team All-American at the NCAA Division II level… Also earned First Team All-America honors from the Division II Conference Commissioners Association, which was selected by sports information directors… Was named as the South Central Regional Player of the Year by both organizations as the first Maverick to ever earn those honors… Was tabbed as the RMAC Player of the Year and as the MVP of the RMAC Tournament… Was the Mavs’ first RMAC Player of the Year since 1994 (Amy Miller)… Earned First Team All-RMAC honors… Was a First Team All-South Central Region selection by both the AVCA and D2CCA… Named to the NCAA South Central Regional All-Tournament Team… Won the national statistical title for hitting percentage with a RMAC all-time and CMU record smashing mark of .451 (413-71-759)…That mark is also the 19
th best in Division II history and the best since 1999… Led the RMAC in total kills with 413… Was second in the conference for kills per set (3.69)… Also finished second in the league for points (482.5) and points per set (4.31)… Ranked third in the league for blocks (123) and blocks per set (1.10)… Was selected as CMU’s AVCA Division II National Player of the Week on Oct. 30… Was tabbed as the RMAC Offensive Player of the Week three times in the month of October… Had been named to the all-tournament team after both of CMU’s early season tournaments (Concordia-Irvine, Rockhurst Classic)… Played in all 112 sets and 31 matches, starting each in a middle & right side hitter role… Recorded 21 double-figure kill efforts… Reached the 20-kill mark in five matches… Tallied a season-high 26 with just one error while hitting .556 (26-1-45) in a win over nationally-ranked Regis (Sept. 28)… Also had 24 kills while hitting .512 (24-3-41) in a win at nationally-ranked Colorado School of Mines (Oct. 27)… Recorded 14 blocks in a 4-set RMAC Tournament semifinal win over Dixie State (Nov. 9)… That total ended up being equal to the best single-match total in Division II throughout the season and was the best 4-set total… Hit .500 or better in an incredible 14 matches… Her best efforts were .714 efforts against Westminster (16-1-21) and Western Colorado (11-1-14) on Oct. 13 and Nov. 2, respectively.
At Northern Arizona: Appeared in 13 indoor matches,making one start at Hawai'i during the 2017 fall season at Division I Northern Arizona University... Played in 34 sets, totaling 35 kills and 19 blocks... Recorded a season-high eight kills against Utah State... Had a season-high three blocks against Arizona State and at Hawai'i... Redshirted in 2016.
High School:Â Four-year starter and letterwinner and two-year team captain at Legend HS... Named CHSAA Class 5A Second Team All-State as a senior... Received team's MVP award twice as a junior and senior... Averaged 2.5 kills and 1.3 blocks per set and hit .341 as a senior...Totaled 266 kills and 144 blocks in final season... Set single season school records for hitting percentage (.428) and blocks (158) as a junior... Set the squat and power clean records at high school... Also lettered and served as team captain in track & field for two years at Legend HS... Was the state champion in 100m, 200m, long jump and triple jump as part of her club track team from 2009-12.
Club: Played for Coach Sherri Hawkins and Colorado Juniors.
Personal: Is majoring in social work... Has three younger siblings (Treyton, Kaia and Tazeya)... Plans to use her degree to become a victim advocate. "I love helping people and being able to help and change peoples' lives every day would be a dream come true."
Why I Chose CMU: "I chose CMU because I love the area and environment of it. When I was deciding on schools, I wanted to make sure that everyone liked where they are and enjoyed being there everyday. Everyone that I asked said they absolutely loved it.".
