2024-25 (As a Junior): Finished 14-15 in singles and co-led the Mavs in doubles wins, going 18-13 alongside partner Devyn Rodriguez… Earned Third Team All-PacWest honors in doubles, becoming the first Maverick doubles duo to ever do so… Was 15-11 in doubles play during team duals, going 14-10 at No. 1… The duo won five straight matches at the end of the regular season before going 1-2 with another unfinished match during the PacWest Tournament… Went 13-11 in singles play during duals in the heart of the Maverick lineup… Went 8-5 at No. 3, 4-2 and No. 4 and 1-5 moving up the team ladder throughout the campaign… Was 2-0 with two unfinished matches during the PacWest Tournament as CMU recorded their first two tournament wins… Received an ITA Scholar-Athlete Award… Was also named to the Academic All-PacWest squad.

Before CMU: Spent 1 ½ years at Division I Utah State in Logan, Utah… Sent 3-8 overall in singles and 5-7 in doubles as a freshman in 2022-23… Had a 1-1 dual singles record and a 2-7 mark in tournaments… Went 5-3 in doubles play during tournaments while going 0-4 in duals… Also played in Fall 2023 tournaments for the Aggies before transferring to Northern Arizona for the Spring of 2024… Was on the Lumberjacks’ roster but was unable to compete due to NCAA transfer regulations… Received the ITA Scholar-Athlete Award in both years at the two previous institutions… Was also a Whiteside Scholar Athlete at Utah State.

Prep: Was the 2022 Waiakea High School Valedictorian… Was the Warriors’ tennis team captain as a senior… Won the Big Island Interscholastic Federation Doubles Champion… Was undefeated during the regular season of singles play before recording a runner-up finish at the BIIF singles tournament… Graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors and was a member of the National Honors Society… Sophomore and junior seasons were canceled due to COVID-19.

Personal: Daughter of Bill and Tami Brilhante... Older sister, Maile, also played at Utah State while older brother, Isaiah, played tennis at Cornell... Is majoring in psychology and is working towards becoming a physician’s assistant specializing in pediatrics… Besides tennis, enjoys going to the beach and fishing with family and friends… Also enjoys cooking.

Why I Chose CMU: “I chose CMU because I get to play tennis while also reaching my academic goals. I felt really supported by the coaches and loved the school itself as well.”
