Colorado Mesa University Athletics

Prep:  Earned CHSAA/MaxPreps All-State Second Team honors as a senior after a junior season in which he averaged 10.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 4.1 blocks per game while shooting 64 percent from the field — numbers that earned him Chaparral's Best Defensive Player award and broke the program's single-game and single-season blocks records… His shot-blocking and interior scoring efficiency make him one of the most productive bigs in this signing class.

Personal: Is majoring in sports management… Aspires to have a successful college basketball career and win a lot of games.

Why I Chose CMU: “I chose CMU because I really liked the coaching staff and the plan they had for me.”

Coach DeWeese's Comments: "Luke comes to CMU from another winning front range High School program, Chaparral High School.  His combination of size and skill is coveted in the college game.  At 6'10, Luke can dribble, pass and shoot.  This gives him the capacity to be an initiator in our offense.  Having a front-court player of his size and skill level, while also being an exceptional shot-blocker, gives our team a valuable weapon!"
