As a Redshirt Freshman (2022): Finished 29^th with a 5K time of 29:31.0 at the Mountaineer/Cowboy Invite, her lone race of the season.

As a Freshman (2021): Redshirt season... Competed unattached at three early-season meets... Finished 54th at the UCCS Rust Buster, 27th at the Mountaineer/Cowboy Invite and 22nd at the Gig Leadbetter Maverick Stampede... Had a season-best time of 20:54.86 at the Mountaineer/Cowboy Invite.

Prep: 2021 graduate of Austin High School… Served as the team captain for the Maroons’ cross country and long distance track teams… Set PRs of 20:05 (5K XC), 5:25 (1600) and 11:55 (3200)… Finished third in the 1600 at the UIL 6A-District 26 Championships as a senior in the spring of 2021… Had placed eighth in the district cross country meet in the fall of 2020 with her PR.

Personal: Is majoring in environmental science… Hopes to pursue a master’s degree and eventually work at a national park… Daughter of Kim and Michael Heide… Older sister Mia plays basketball at Tulane University in New Orleans…  Enjoys making art and reading a lot.
