2019 (Senior): USTFCCCA All-Academic and RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll selection... Ran at three meets... Led the Mavericks at both the RMAC and NCAA Division II South Central Regional Championships for the second straight year... Finished 37th at the RMAC meet and 40th at regionals... Both were the best finishes of her career... Ran a career-best 6K time of 22:17.2 at the RMAC meet... Made her season-debut with a 36th place finish and career best 5K time of 19:25.2 at the Fort Hays State Tiger Open,.
2018 (Junior): Competed in four of the Mavs' five meets... Was the team's top finisher at both the RMAC and NCAA Division II South Central Regional Championships... Finished 46th at the RMAC meet before taking 55th at the regional with a career-best 6K time of 23:39.1... Had a 5K time of 20:21.5 at the Mountaineer Cowboy Open, where she placed 55th... RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll selection.Â
2017 (Sophomore): RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll selection... Competed in all six of the team's meets... Took 10th at the Mountaineer/Cowboy Open Invite with a career-best 5K time of 19:46... Led the team at that meet and at the Roy Griak Invitational... Finished 55th at the RMAC Championships as the Mavs' second finisher, and 81st at the NCAA South Central Regionals... Posted a season-best 6K time of 23:52.8 at the latter.
2016 (Freshman): Competed in two races...Ran a season-best of 20:23 for 5K at the Mountaineer/Cowboy Invite to finish 24th.
Prep: 4-time all-conference athlete in three sports (XC, track, swimming) for the Loveland HS Indians... Competed in the state cross country championships throughout her prep career… Placed fourth at the 5A Region 4 meet as a junior (2014) after earning a ninth place finish at the Front Range League Championship… Also competed at the Nike Cross Southwest Regionals that year…  4-time time state qualifier on the track… Helped her team place fourth in the 4X800-meter relay… Won the 3,200 meters at the St. Vrain Invitational as a junior in 2015 with a PR time of 11:35… Best 1,600m time was 5:25.
Personal: Daughter of Chad and Lori Brent… Majoring in exercise science… Plans to continue education to become a physician assistant… Enjoys running, spending time outdoors, hanging out with family and friends and traveling.
Why I Chose CMU: "Because of the ability to continue the sport I love and pursue my desired area of education. I was fascinated with the Human Performance Lab and overall love the area of Grand Junction."
