Career Synopsis: Despite forgoing a fifth year of eligibility, he ended his career as the program leader for career assists with 71… Also graduated, ranking third for career points (176) and fourth for career goals (105)… Became just the fourth player in program history to reach 100 goals, reaching the milestone with his fourth and final goal on Apr. 30, 2023 in a 27-4 win over Adams State.

2023 (Redshirt Junior): Named as the RMAC Co-Attacker of the Year and to the First Team All-RMAC squad during a stellar season… Led the conference with 78 points and points per game (4.33), ranking 16th in the country for the latter… Also led the RMAC while ranking 16th in the country for assists per game (2.00), tallying a single-season school-record of 36 while ending his career as the program’s all-time leader in assists with 71 career helpers… Scored 26 goals to rank second in the RMAC behind only teammate Jed Brummett… His goal-scoring tally was fifth best in program history… His 78 points were the second most in CMU history and just one shy of the program record of 79… Was second in the RMAC behind Brummett with 119 total shots, 66 of which were on goal… Was also an Honorable Mention USILA All-South Central Region selection… Named as the RMAC Offensive Player of the Week five times in a six week span from Mar. 27 through May 1… Recorded at least one point in all 18 games, starting 17 of them… Had three or more offensive points in 15 different games… Recorded seven hat-tricks… Also had five other 2-goal games… Had back-to-back 5-goal games against CSU Pueblo (Apr. 16) and Westminster (Apr. 23) earning two of his RMAC Player of the Week honors on the day following each… Was also recognized on Mar. 27, Apr. 3 and May 1… Tallied nine offensive points (4G, 5A) in a Apr. 1 win over Westminster…  Tied the school-record with five assists in that game… His nine points was the third best single-game tally in CMU history… Also recorded 32 groundballs and five caused turnovers… Scored five man-up goals to lead the team… Was also credited with the game-winner a team-high five times… Scored five goals in the RMAC Tournament to nab a spot on the RMAC All-Tournament Team for the second straight year… Took a career-high 12 shots in the Apr. 23 win over Westminster… Had five ground balls against both CSU Pueblo (Apr. 28) and Westminster (May 5), the latter of which was in the RMAC Tournament final.

2022 (Redshirt Sophomore): Earned Second Team All-RMAC honors for the second straight campaign… Was tied for the team and RMAC lead with 33 goals (James Steinke)… Also had 12 assists to finish the year with 45 points, fourth most in the RMAC… Was tied for fourth in the RMAC for goals per game (1.83) and eighth for points per game (2.50)… Was second in the conference for shots (104) and sixth for shots per game (5.78)… Played in 18 games, making nine starts… Scored in 16 different games, netting five hat-tricks… Had back-to-back 4-goal games against Westminster (Feb. 27) and Adams State (Mar. 5)… Also had four goals, a season-high six points and a season-high two assists against CSU Pueblo (Apr. 9)… Was named as the RMAC Offensive Player of the Week on Mar. 7 and Apr. 11 after those efforts… Was later named to the RMAC All-Tournament Team after scoring three goals and four points in the Mavs’ two victories… Put 62 of his shots on goal… Also led the team with eight man-up goals… Was credited with the game-winner in two contests… Finished with 26 ground balls and four caused turnovers.

2021 (Redshirt Freshman): Named to the Second Team All-RMAC squad at attack… Played in all 11 games while being credited with six starts… Scored 13 goals while assisting on 14 others to finish in a tie for second on the team with 27 offensive points… Was tied for third in assists… Was tied for fifth in the RMAC for assists per game (1.27) and tied for seventh in points per game (2.45)… Had three goals and five points in an Apr. 9 win at Adams State… Also took ten of his 56 total shots in that game against the Grizzlies… Placed 34 shots on goal… Had a season-high three assists on Mar. 12 at Shorter… Had a game-winning and man-up goal on Apr. 30 against Westminster… Tallied 13 ground balls, including a season-high four in the aforementioned game against Adams State… Caused four turnovers.

2020 (Freshman): Played in all seven games of the undefeated pandemic shortened season… Made six starts… Was second on the team and the RMAC with 17 goals (Jed Brummett, 18)… Also recorded nine assists to finish with 26 points, which was also second most on the team and in the RMAC (James  Booth, 36)… The nine assists were equal to the third most in the RMAC and tied for second most on the team… Ranked fourth in the RMAC for goals per game (2.43), tied for fourth in assists per game (1.29) and fifth for points per game (3.71)… Recorded four hat-tricks and had five consecutive multiple-goal games to end the campaign… Scored at least one point in all seven games, tallying five in wins over Shorter (Feb. 10) and CSU-Pueblo (Feb. 23)… Scored four goals against CSU-Pueblo… Had two man-up goals throughout the season… Took 48 shots, including 29 on frame… Took ten shots against Davenport (Mar. 5)… Also recorded 12 ground balls and four caused turnovers.

Prep: Is a 2019 graduate of Trabuco Hills High School… Played for the Mustangs and Coach Eric Basset

Personal: Is majoring in sports management… Wants to work for a large sports firm that handles professional athletes… Enjoys snowboarding, rock climbing, camping, fishing and other sports… Son of Robert and Lysa Switzer… Has two older siblings— Austin and Alex.

Why I Chose CMU: “I chose CMU for the outdoor activities available around campus as well as the culture that the lacrosse team and university have for their students and student-athletes."
