2024 (Junior): Voted to the RMAC All-Academic First Team for the second straight season… Appeared in 14 games as the Mavs’ No. 2 faceoff man… Won 76 of 119 draws, good for a .639 winning percentage… Started the season finale against Colorado College (May 4), winning 22 of 31 battles, tied for the eighth most single-game faceoffs won in program history… Also had a career-high 10 groundballs in that game… Had 42 throughout the season to finish third on the team… Was tied for fifth in the RMAC with that total and tied for sixth with his 3.00 per game average… Scored two goals, including one against the Tigers… Took six shots, including four on goal.

2023 (Sophomore): Was named to the RMAC All-Academic First Team… Played in all 18 games as the Mavs’ No. 2 face-off man… Won 65.9 percent (91) of his 138 draws to help the Mavs’ to the second best face-off winning percentage (.671) in the country… Was credited with 37 ground balls, fourth most on the team… Scored two goals while assisting on two others… Took six shots, four of which were on goal, throughout the season… Won 12 of 15 face-offs with a career-high five ground balls in a 22-3 win at Adams State (Apr. 14), helping him to claim RMAC Defensive Player of the Week honors on Apr. 17… Claimed 17 more face-off wins in 24 combined efforts in later back-to-back wins over the Grizzlies on Apr. 30 and May 4, the latter of which was during the RMAC Tournament… Also had five ground balls in the tournament win over the Grizzlies.

2022 (Freshman): Played in 11 games… Won 14 of 26 face-offs (.538)… Recorded ten ground balls… Scored against Flagler (Mar. 25)… Took three shots, including two on goal.

Prep: 2021 graduate of Pine Creek High School, where he played for the Eagles and Coach Dennis Rego… Was a 4-year varsity starter… Earned First Team All-5A Metro Conference honors as a senior… Recorded an 81 percent face-off win percentage along with 130 ground balls in 2021… Scored 13 goals as well… Had been a First Team 5A South Suburban Conference pick as a sophomore in 2019… Named as the offensive player of the year after recording a 76 percent face-off win percentage, 87 ground balls and nine goals… Served as the team captain during both years and was a winner of the Pine Creek Lacrosse Eagle Award during both campaigns.
 
Personal: Is majoring in cybersecurity… Wants to work for a competitive cybersecurity company and coach lacrosse in his free time... Son of Michael and Chonta Edwards… Likes to golf, fish and snowboard.
 
Why I Chose CMU: “I chose CMU because of its location. It is close to home but not too close!  Additionally, I get the opportunity to play lacrosse at a high level while earning a degree."
