2025 (As a Senior): Earned USILA All-South Region Honorable Mention accolades… Also earned First Team All-Peach Belt Conference/Rocky Mountain Division honors, his third all-conference honor of his career… Played in the USILA Senior All-Star Game… Recorded 47 ground balls to lead all Maverick defenders and rank second on the team… Was fifth in the RMAC for total ground balls and seventh with his 2.94 per game average… Led the Mavs with 19 caused turnovers, the second highest total in the RMAC… Scored four goals and took 18 shots offensively… Put 12 of those on net… Had a career-high eight ground balls in the Rocky Mountain Division Tournament semifinal win over Dominican (Apr. 24)… Had been named as the Rocky Mountain Division Defensive Player of the Week on Apr. 22 after recording five ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers against Westminster on Apr. 19… Had three caused turnovers efforts in three different games… Recorded five or more ground balls in five different games… Played and started in 16 games.
2024 (As a Junior): Played in 16 games, making 12 starts… Earned Second Team All-RMAC honors… Tallied 28 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers… Had a season-high five ground balls against Lynn (Mar. 10)… Took ten shots, including six on goal… Had four shots, three ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers in a Mar. 24 win over Westminster.
2023 (As a Sophomore): Played in all 18 games, making nine starts in the Maverick defense… Recorded 32 ground balls and ten caused turnovers… Was tied for fifth on the team in ground balls and ranked sixth on the squad for caused turnovers… Ha a season-high five ground balls in an Apr. 23 RMAC win at arch-rival Westminster… Also caused three turnovers in that game against the Griffins, matching his season-high… Tallied two assists offensively… Took five shots, one of which was on goal.
2022 (As a Freshman): Named as the RMAC Freshman of the Year… Was also tabbed as the Co-RMAC Defender of the Year alongside teammates Hayden Scherr and Trey Corkin… Was a First Team All-RMAC pick as well… Recorded 31 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers… Also scored four goals and assisted on two others (six total points) at the offensive end… Took 15 shots, including eight on goal… Had a season-high five ground balls in a Mar. 27 win over Westminster… Had four ground balls and a season-high three turnovers on Apr. 24 against Adams State.
Prep: 2021 graduate of Plano West Senior High School… Coached by Rob Jones… Served as the Wolves’ team captain in 2020 and 2021… Was a first team all-district pick as a senior in 2021.
Personal: Is majoring in construction management… Plans to graduate and then go to school in Texas to pursue a career in engineering… Son of Glen and Lorien Hathaway… Has an older sibling— Rhett… Enjoys fishing, working out, hiking and woodworking.
