As a Redshirt Freshman (2024): Played in 16 games, starting two of them… Scored two goals… Took three shots, including two on goal… Scooped up 19 groundballs… Caused eight turnovers… Had a season-high five groundballs in the final game of the season against Colorado College (May 4)… Scored on Mar. 30 and Apr. 26 in games against Adams State, the second of which was in the RMAC Tournament semifinals.

As a Freshman (2023): Redshirt season.

Prep: 2022 graduate of Ponderosa High School… Earned First Team All-4A Southern League honors as both a junior and senior in 2021 and 2022 with the Andrew Triteley coached Mustangs… Was also a first team all-state honoree as a senior after earning second team honors as a junior… Earned first team all-academic honors in both seasons... Was a 2-year captain (2021 & 2022).

Personal: Is majoring in outdoor recreation industry studies… Wants to build a career which doesn't require him to feel like working, but rather providing excitement for each new day... Son of Tim and Allison Porter… Has two siblings— Cael, who plays baseball at CSU Pueblo, and Taegen... Enjoys fishing, skiing, biking and golfing.

Why I Chose CMU: “I chose CMU for the wide variety of outdoor recreational activities offered around Grand Junction, as well as the team aspect of the CMU lacrosse team."
