As a Redshirt Senior (2025): Ran for the team in two meets, posting a 6K time of 20:42.4 to place 33
rd at the Gig Leadbetter Maverick Stampede… Finished 78
th at the Roadrunners Invitational with an 8K time of 27:45.8… Also ran unattached at the Monument Valley Park Open Race held after the RMAC Championships.
As a Redshirt Junior (2024): Finished 43
rd at the Mountaineer/Cowboy Open while representing the team… Ran unattached at the Roadrunners Invitational, placing 165
th… Also ran in the RMAC Open, held in conjunction with the RMAC Championships, placing 33
rd.
As a Redshirt Sophomore (2023): Did not compete.
As a Redshirt Freshman (2022): Ran in three meets… Placed 35
th at the Mountaineer/Cowboy Invite before posting a season-best 8K time of 26:41.3 to place 37
th at the Gig Leadbetter Maverick Stampede… Took 106
th at the RMAC Championships with a time of 28:55.2.
As a Freshman (2021): Redshirt season... Competed unattached at the Mountaineer/Cowboy Invite, finishing 53rd in a 8K time of 30:52.08.
Prep: Earned a pair of all-conference honors in cross country while running for Coach Gene Blankenship and the Medical Lake High School Cardinals… Graduated in 2021… Was a 4-year team member, who served as team captain in 2019 and 2020… Helped the team win a Washington state title in 2017… Won the NEA District individual title that year… Placed 22nd at the state meet as a junior in 2019… Set track PRs of 2:07.04 (800) and 4:37.28 (1600) in 2021… Had a 3200-meter PR of 10:07.43 to place second at the 2019 NEA District track meet before placing 13th at the state meet.
Personal: Is majoring in kinesiology… Son of Sarah Collins… Has one brother— Thomas… Enjoys running, playing video games and hockey… Coached a special needs hockey team for 2 ½ years.
Why I Chose CMU: “I chose CMU because of the Kinesiology program, location, and cross country team.”
