Mike Dominguez

Mike Dominguez has served as an assistant basketball coach at Colorado Mesa University since the summer of 2011. 

Dominguez played for the Mavericks in 2009-10 and helped lead the team to a 23-6 season and a birth in the NCAA Tournament leading the Mavericks to their first NCAA Tournament victory. 

Coach Dominguez earned All-America status in 2010 and holds the distinction of becoming the first All-American at CMU since the school became an NCAA Div. II institution. During his senior season he was named; Central Region Player of the Year, RMAC Player of the Year and a unanimous First Team All-RMAC and RMAC West Division Player of the Year. Dominguez averaged 21.6 points per game and 4.6 rebounds.

In 2010-2011 Dominguez played professional basketball in Mexico for the Toros De Nuevo team winning the LNBP Championship title.

A native of Espanola, New Mexico, Dominguez earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in kinesiology and has a masters degree in coaching and athletic administration.
