Andrews joined the CMU staff in August 2023. Prior to the Mavericks, Andrews spent two seasons as an assistant coach at San Diego City College. While at SDCC, Andrews completed opposition scouting, developed individual workouts for each player and helped recruit alongside the rest of the staff.
As a player, Andrews starred at Clarion University, a Division II program in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC). Andrews was named Rookie of the Year in 2013 and was named First Team All-Conference in 2016-17. He played professionally in Ireland and Cyprus for three seasons and began his coaching career by coaching a girls high school basketball team in Dublin, Ireland while playing there.
Andrews spent the 2020-21 academic year as an associate basketball coach and substitute teacher at Oceanside Collegiate Academy in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, a top-20 prep program in the state. He also coached at the prep level for one season in Maryland.
