Stephen Mundee began his tenure at Colorado Mesa in the Spring of 2018 and was named the head athletic trainer in the Fall of 2020. 

Mundee started in the athletic training field in 2013 when he spent a season as an intern with the Chicago Bears before moving onto Alamosa High School where he was an athletic trainer and teacher from 2014-18.

After arriving at Colorado Mesa, he worked with the Maverick Swimming and Diving programs and the Baseball program.

A native of Taylorsville, Utah, earned his B.S. in Athletic Training and a B.S. in Exercise Science from the University of Utah in 2014 and later went on to earn his M.S. in Human Performance and Physical Education from Adams State University in 2018.
