Colorado Mesa University Athletics

Nic Braaten joined the Colorado Mesa coaching staff in the spring of 2022 after serving as a graduate assistant coach at CSU Pueblo during the 2021 season. He will serve as the linebackers coach and the recruiting coordinator for the Mavericks.

Braaten played defensive line for the Prairie Wolves of Nebraska Wesleyan. As a senior in 2019 he played in all 10 games and totaled 34 tackles (11 solo). He added three fumble recoveries, 2.5 tackles for loss and a sack. 

He earned his bachelors degree in Sport Management.
