Brian Blechen joins the Colorado Mesa coaching staff for his third season with the Mavericks as Outside Linebackers coach.
Prior to CMU, Brian spent the 2017 season and the first half of 2018 with the University of Utah as a defensive assistant, working with safeties and linebackers.
Blechen played football at University of Utah, where he was an All-American Safety, a four-year starter, and a Senior Team Captain. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Utah.
After his time at Utah, Blechen went on to play for the Carolina Panthers for 3 years as a linebacker and a safety.
