Brayle Brown joined the Colorado Mesa football staff in the spring of 2021 as the Offensive Coordinator and quarterbacks coach. Brown comes to Colorado Mesa after spending two seasons in the same position at Oklahoma Baptist.

Brown, a native of Shawnee, Okla., led one of the most high-powered offenses in the country at Oklahoma Baptist in 2019 where the team led the Great American Conference in total offense, scoring offense, passing offense and was second in the conference in first downs per game. The Bison finished the year top-10 in the country in both total offense and completions per game.

He coached quarterback Preston Haire to the GAC Offensive Player of the Year honor in 2019. Haire finished in the top-10 in the country in both all-purpose yards and completions per game while leading the GAC in passing yards per game and total offense per game.

Prior to his time at OBU, Brown spent a year as the running backs coach at Midwestern State and served one season at Avila University, an NAIA school in Kansas City, Mo.

Brown played his college football at the University of Louisiana Monroe, appearing in 24 games, including two starts, during his sophomore and junior campaigns.

During his prep career at Shawnee High School, he earned all-district and all-state honors his junior season, helping lead the Wolves to the conference championship and an undefeated regular season. Brown finished his SHS career with over 4,000 yards passing, 1,000 yards rushing, and 1,000 yards receiving and holds the school’s single-season records for total yards, total touchdowns, passing touchdowns, passing yards and completion percentage, as well as the career records in total points, total touchdowns and passing yards.

A multi-sport standout, he also lettered in basketball and baseball and was an all-conference selection in baseball for the Wolves.
