2022: Made an immediate impact on the Maverick program as a graduate transfer, recording 220 kills and 52 blocks while hitting .246… Earned Honorable Mention All-RMAC honors… Played and started in all 25 of the Mavs’ regular season matches before going down due to injury ultimately missing the RMAC and NCAA Tournaments… Most of that time came on the right side with some sporadic appearances in the middle… Averaged 2.68 kills and 0.63 blocks in her 82 sets… Was third on the team in kills per set and total blocks… Finished with 255 total points (3.11/set) and 82 digs (1.00/set)… Was named as the MVP at the season-opening Oredigger Volleyball Classic… Tallied a career-high 19 kills against nationally-ranked Southwest Minnesota State during that tournament (Aug. 27)… Hit .625 with 11 kills in the season-opening victory over Northern State… Finished in double-figures for kills in 11 matches, including five of her first seven and four straight from Oct. 7-Oct. 15… Also had three double-doubles, recording 10 or more digs in three matches… Had her first double-double with 14 kills and 12 digs against top-ranked and defending national champion Tampa (Sept. 3)… Had 17 kills and 12 digs at South Dakota Mines (Oct. 8)… Recorded a pair of 5-block efforts, the first of which came at the Oredigger Volleyball Classic in an Aug. 26 win over UT Tyler.
Before CMU: Curl spent the past two seasons at Loyola Marymount, where she saw limited time with the Lions due to injury… She played in one match recording three kills and two blocks against Saint Mary's on Jan. 26, 2021 during the spring season before suffering her injury… Had played at the University of Alabama in 2018 and 2019… Posted a career-high 14 kills with an .370 hitting percentage against Mississippi State in an SEC match against the Bulldogs on Oct. 9 of her 2019 sophomore season… Also had back-to-back 7-kill efforts against VCU (Sept. 6) and North Carolina State (Sept. 7) while making 22 appearances, including ten starts that season… Recorded 114 kills (1.68/set) while hitting .223 in 68 sets played… Also had 28 blocks and 128 ½ total points… Had played in five matches as a freshman in 2018, recording a season-high eight kills off the bench against 11
th-ranked Florida (Sept. 30)… Had recorded her first kill against Northern Illinois on Sept. 8 while making her start at Tennessee (Oct. 3)… Was named as a SEC Scholar in both of her years with the Crimson Tide while winning the program's Unsung Hero Award in 2019.
Prep: Was a 2018 graduate of Flower Mound High School… Led the Marci Laracuente coached Jaguars both blocks and kills to earn team MVP honors as a senior in 2017… Was a first team all-district picks and the team's offensive player of the year in 2016… Served as the captain both years… Was named to the all-state academic team… Was a Hispanic Merit Scholar in 2016.
Club: Played for the Texas Advantage Volleyball Club, helping the team to a fifth place national finish in 2016 and a second place finish in 2017… Was named to the nationals all-tournament team.
Personal: Graduated from LMU with a degree in health & human sciences degree in the spring of 2022… Aspires to become a physician's assistant… Daughter of Marissa & Eddie Curl… Step-mother is Joy Jenkins… Has four siblings— Evan, Eric, Easton and Emily… Evan played football at Kansas State… Enjoys fitness and hanging out with her dog April.
