COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.- The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference released its Players of the Week for women's soccer and Colorado Mesa was honored twice as Olivia Barrett won Defensive Player of the Week and Ellie Duncan won Offensive Player of Week. 

This is Barrett's fourth time being awarded and the second time she has been awarded this season as she was honored last week. For Duncan, this is the first time in her collegiate career that she has been given the award. She is also the first Maverick to win Offensive Player of the Week since Sauvelyne Randel on Oct. 22, 2024. 

Barrett has played a pivotal role in one of the best defenses in the RMAC as they have not allowed a single goal in six straight games. Barrett continued her great form as she played 166 minutes in the two games against Fort Lewis and Western Colorado where her and the defense only allowed four shots on goal. She also picked up her first assist of the season against Western Colorado. 

While Duncan only played 79 minutes over the past two games, her impact on offense was certainly felt. She only needed 25 minutes to score three goals against Western Colorado, becoming the first Mavs player since Lila Dere to score a hat-trick. She totaled nine shots across both games with five of them being on goal. 

The Mavs look to extend their winning streak to seven as they take on the defending national champions in Florida Tech this Friday at Community Hospital Unity Field. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
