COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.-The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference released its Players of the Week with Colorado Mesa being honored twice. Olivia Barrett won Defender of the Week while Keely Wieczorek won Goalkeeper of the Week.  

This is the third time Barrett has earned Defender of the Week while Wiezcorek earned her ninth Goalkeeper of the Week award, the most weekly awards a Maverick player has won in program history.  

Barrett has been a part of a defense that has not conceded a goal over the past four games. In their last match against MSU Denver, Barrett and the defense put on a defensive clinic as they did not allow a single shot from the Roadrunners. She has played all 90 minutes during this four-game stretch and made some key defensive plays during this shutout stretch.  

Wieczorek continues her historic Mavs career has she made six crucial saves against Colorado Christian to keep a shutout intact. Her game against MSU Denver was uneventful as she did not face a single Roadrunner shot. She also recorded her 50th career win and her 39th career shutout, five away from tying the RMAC career record for shutouts.  

The Mavs will look to continue their shutout streak as they play their home opener against Fort Lewis. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Community Hospital Unity Field.
