COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference released the week eight baseball award winners this afternoon with Colorado Mesa's Cameron Cartwright earning honors as the RMAC Player of the Week.
Cartwright earns this honor after a dominant past weekend against Colorado Christian in which the Mavs swept the Cougars.
During the series Cartwright batted 7-for-14 (.500) while collecting 11 RBIs, eight runs and totaling four extra base hits, including three home runs.
All three of those home runs came in the series opener with the Mavs winning that game 22-9. Cartwright had nine RBIs in the win while finishing the game a perfect 5-for-5.
He later added one RBI in the game three win before going 2-for-6 in the series finale with another RBI.
This was Cartwright's second time in his career to earn RMAC Player of the Week honors with him last earning this award in 2025 on Mar. 25.
He is also the fourth Maverick to be named in the conference's weekly honors with Jackson Eisenhauer, Justin Schramm and Caleb Ruter each being named as Pitchers of the Week.
The Mavs will host Colorado School of Mines this weekend for a 4-game conference series with action beginning on Friday night (Mar. 27) at 6:05 p.m.
