COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) released their weekly award winners for baseball on Tuesday (Feb. 24) afternoon. Colorado Mesa pitcher
Jackson Eisenhauer was named the RMAC Pitcher of the Week after his performance against Montana State Billings.
The Los Angeles, Calif. native pitched five shutout innings to earn his first collegiate win. Eisenhauer allowed two hits and struck out six while the Yellow Jackets hit just .133 off of him in the series finale. He also didn't allow a base runner to reach third base.
For the season, he has a 1-1 record with a 2.38 ERA in 11 and a third innings pitched. He has allowed 11 hits, three earned runs and struck out 13.
This is the first RMAC Player or Pitcher of the Week award for Colorado Mesa this season.
Eisenhauer and the Mavericks will take on nationally ranked Augustana in a four-game series beginning on Thursday at The Diamond at Hamilton Ballpark.
